2006 - 2010 Research Program

The 2006 - 2010 Australian e-Health Research Centre Research Program provides for the research and development of ICT-based technologies for the management, integration and processing of health information for decision-making, that will improve the quality and safety of healthcare for individuals and communities.

Goal of the Program

The goal of the Research Program is to contribute to tangible improvements in health outcomes in two or more different major areas of health care by 2015.

Science Vision

The Science Vision is to create new ICT-based technologies that can securely and seamlessly acquire, manipulate, interpret and present data relevant to healthcare, from a variety of sources.

The Challenge

Health information is currently not available where, when or in the form it is needed to support fully-informed clinical healthcare decisions. The Australian e-Health Research Centre's Research Program aims to address this problem.
